New CEO for Oxford University Innovation

Oxford University Innovation, the University’s research and expertise commercialisation company, has appointed Dr Matt Perkins as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dr Perkins will commence his role in October 2016.

With a background in the space industry, Dr Perkins worked closely with academia when Group CEO of SSTL-  a University of Surrey spinout – and delivered substantial revenue and profit growth in this and his subsequent role as President, Space Imaging Division, of e2v Technologies.

As Chair of the UK Industry Association for Space (UKSpace) from 2013-14 he worked closely with the UK Space Agency, Innovate UK and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and in his executive roles has achieved greater awareness for innovative high-technology companies within government and the public sphere.
