Richard has a B.Sc.(Hon) Microbiology and Genetics from the University of Aberdeen and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Cambridge.
Previous projects entailed genomic applications that spanned academic research in genome structure to developing new commercial molecular diagnostic assays. These projects were frequently multinational collaborations. They typically included implementing genetic, molecular, automation and bioinformatics solutions. The commercial projects simultaneously involved obtaining key opinion leader input, establishing quality management systems and supervising external development partners.
Richard joined Oxford University Innovation ‘E-Health and Bioinformatics’ team in July 2015 as a Technology Transfer Manager.
