The University of Oxford is hosting AI@Oxford, the institution’s first major international conference on Artificial Intelligence. A two-day 500-delegate event, AI@Oxford will showcase world-leading research, game changing technologies and the ground breaking innovative companies we’re creating here in the Oxford Cluster.

Venue Details

AI@Oxford will be held in the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Park End St, Oxford, OX1 1HP.The venue is directly opposite Oxford train station, less than a 1-minute walk away for those arriving by train.

Please note that there is no public parking at Saïd Business School and car parking in Oxford city centre is limited; however, guests can use various car parking in the city centre or use Oxford Park & Ride services.

Registration Opening Times

Day 1 – Tuesday 17th September 2019:                     08.00 – 17.30 (registration 08.00-09.00)

Day 2 – Wednesday 18th September 2019:             08.00 – 17.30 (registration 08.00-09.00)

At registration you will receive your delegate badge, a conference programme and if you have booked, a dinner ticket.

Please always wear your badge. This is a security requirement and will enable you to identify fellow delegates.

 

Catering

  • Refreshments including breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee breaks will be provided to all delegates across both days of the
  • Please make us aware ASAP if you have any dietary requirements. If you have any severe allergies, please make yourself known to a member of the catering team on the

Gala Dinner

For those of you who have pre-booked the Speaker’s Gala Dinner we look forward to welcoming you to Oxford’s historic and illustrious Town Hall.

Venue: Oxford Town Hall, St Aldate’s, Oxford OX1 1BX

Please be aware that parking is very limited in Oxford town centre and to use public transport in the first instance – good links to the city are available by bus and the walk between Saïd Business School and the Town Hall is 12 minutes long.

Alternatively, Gloucester Green car park (OX1 2BN) has 105 spaces and is a 7-minute walk.

Timings: Please arrive from 18.45 for registration, drinks reception and networking. 19.40 – Welcome and Guest Speeches. 19.50 – Dinner service begins with after dinner speech from the Rt Revd Dr Steven Croft, the Bishop of Oxford 22.30 – Carriages

Dress code: Smart Casual. Coat stands will be made available. Please make sure you bring your ticket.

 

Oxford Innovation Society Dinner

For those of you who are coming to the Oxford Innovation Society Dinner we look forward to welcoming you to Keble College. Venue: Keble College, Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3PG

Please note, there is no public parking at Keble College. We recommend public transport in the first instance, with good links into the city available by bus. Said Business School is a 20-minute walk from Keble College or a short taxi ride.

Timings: Please arrive from 17.30 for registration with talks beginning at 18.00. Drinks will be poured from 19.00 and dinner service begins at 19.45.

Dress code: Business attire. There will be a mixture of chairs and long benches in the dining hall and trouser suits may be preferable. Guests may wish to bring an umbrella in the case of rain, as there is a short walk between the college entrance and the dining hall.

 

AI@Oxford Fringe Events

AI@Oxford Art Exhibition and Drinks Reception

If you are joining us in Oxford on the 16th, we have an exclusive event for delegates of AI@Oxford and invitees from the Oxford Cluster startup community. We have installed an art exhibition where all the artists use AI in their work for you to enjoy at the Jam Factory, across the road from the conference venue. Drinks and canapes will be served throughout the event, which runs from 1800 to 2100.

AI@Oxford Innovation Bash

Oxford University Innovation will be hosting a special edition of its Innovation Bash series of events, taking place immediately after the conference at FREVDs near the venue. The Innovation Bash is an open invite to anyone working in innovation within the Oxford Cluster. Expect free drinks, informal networking and a relaxed party atmosphere with music.
