BioAnaLab Limited, a specialist contract analytical laboratory, has recently achieved full membership of the United Kingdom Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Compliance Programme.

BioAnaLab Oxford was founded in 2002 and since then has developed a range of services for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, specialising in the analysis of biologic drugs such as antibodies, vaccines and growth factors using cell-based and in vitro methods. From the outset, the company made it a priority to establish a comprehensive quality system. The majority of BioAnaLab’s work has been in the support of clinical trials, and in September 2005 it became one of the first members of the Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) Scheme which was recently established in the UK to fulfil requirements of the EC Directive on Good Clinical Practice.

Following an inspection from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, BioAnaLab has now been accredited as complying with GLP, an internationally accepted standard which is necessary for laboratories which carry out pre-clinical testing of pharmaceuticals.

It enables us to provide a full range of support through manufacturing, pre-clinical testing, clinical trials and post-market surveillance. This will allow us to further expand our unique services to clients in the pharmaceutical industry around the world. “
