Dr David Churchman will be presenting a poster titled ‘Pretesting newly generated items to complement the 39-item Parkinson’s Disease Questionnaire (PDQ)’. Since the initial development of the PDQ there have been significant changes in the treatment and management of Parkinson’s disease. Consequently the developers sought to determine if additional modules are required to complement the original instrument.

A recent series of interviews was therefore conducted in order to assess the questionnaire’s continued relevance and acceptability to PwP. As a result of issues which emerged during the interviews, 28 additional items were generated to cover the areas of sleep, exercise and medication. The aim of this study was to pretest these new items in a sample of PwP.

The Clinical Outcomes team will be available to meet you to discuss any aspect of our PRO product and service activities. You can reach Dr David Churchman on +44 (0)7393 766153 at the conference or via Clinical Outcomes HQ on +44 (0)1865 614417; or healthoutcomes@innovation.ox.ac.uk.
