The Clinical Outcome team will be attending the first national ReQoL in Practice event in Sheffield, UK on the 29th November 2018.

It is with great pride to announce that the Clinical Outcomes team have been asked to attend the first national ReQoL in Practice event in Sheffield on the 29th November 2018.

The event is an opportunity for clinicians, peer support workers, managers, outcome leads, commissioners and service users to come together to create a community of practice, sharing learning and knowledge. More specifically, showing how the ReQoL can be implemented and used for clinical practice and quality improvement.

Event highlights include an address by Professor Tim Kendall, NHS England’s National Clinical Director for Mental health, and structured opportunities for delegates to share learning across different trusts and organisations. More information about the event can be found on the ReQoL in Practice event website. Developing on our existing relationship with the University of Sheffield, Dr David Churchman has also been asked to present a workshop that explores the in’s and outs of developing patient facing electronic forms (ePRO).

The Recovering Quality of Life (ReQoL) is a Patient Reported Outcome Measure (PROM) that has been developed to assess the quality of life of people with different mental health conditions. ReQoL is a brief outcome measure focusing on the process of recovery for users of mental health services. It was developed by a team at The University of Sheffield to capture the concerns of service users on their quality of life. This work was commissioned and funded by the Department of Health Policy Research Programme in England for use in the NHS. Oxford University Innovation is exclusively licenced to grant copyright permissions to use the ReQoL, further information of which can be found on our ReQoL profile page!

Dr David Churchman and the team will be available to meet you to discuss any aspect of our PRO product and service activities. You can reach David on +44 (0)7393 766153 at the event or via Clinical Outcomes HQ on +44 (0)1865 614417; or healthoutcomes@innovation.ox.ac.uk.
