With over 10 million people currently living with arthritis, Versus Arthritis (formerly Arthritis Research UK) pushes to defy the disease!

Versus Arthritis are the 10+ million people currently living with Arthritis. They are the carers, researchers, healthcare professionals, friends, parents, runners and fundraisers with a combined goal of ensuring that one day, no one will have to live with the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis causes.

They work with volunteers, healthcare professionals, researchers and friends on a range of projects and build upon the legacies and expertise of both Arthritis Research UK and Arthritis Care.

You can find out more about what Versus Arthritis do on their website.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is the single greatest cause of years lived with disability. This can include osteoarthritis, inflammatory disorders and musculoskeletal disorders such as back, neck, shoulder, hip, and knee pain. The health impact of musculoskeletal conditions, cannot be summarised with blood tests or imaging/scans. Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) Measures, however, are well suited to this purpose, but different PROMs are used for each MSK condition which can cause practical difficulties, especially for people with pain in multiple places.

The Versus Arthritis UK Musculoskeletal Health Questionnaire (MSK-HQ) was developed as a generic, single musculoskeletal outcome measure that can be used throughout the healthcare pathway and with patients with different musculoskeletal conditions.

You can find out more about how this measure was developed on the MSK-HQ profile.
