Amelia Griffiths

Amelia joined Oxford University Innovation in April 2021 as a Licensing & Ventures Manager in the physical sciences group. She works across the technology transfer process, through initial assessment of projects, to IP protection and management. She licenses technologies to industry, supports translational funding applications and works with academics starting their own spinout companies.

Prior to joining Oxford University Innovation, Amelia was Senior Research Manager at The Sunday Times Fast Track, where she identified, researched and wrote about the UK’s fastest growing private companies for The Sunday Times. Her research spanned companies in AI, data science, robotics, medtech, cleantech and other technologies.

Before this, Amelia spent eight years in financial services and consulting. She was Executive Director at Orbit Partners, advising startups, venture capital and private equity firms on acquisitions and growth strategy, working on deals in technology, healthcare, industrials and consumers goods and services.

Amelia has a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol and MSc Management from the University of Bath. Her master thesis assessed how environmental, social and governance issues are considered in investment decision-making.
