Before joining Oxford University Innovation in February 2012, Carolyn was the Head of HR & Facilities at Marks and Spencer, responsible for a team of seven working directly with the per una and Limited brands. Carolyn’s role covered a wide generalist remit working with many senior managers to align the people and strategic business objectives; the role also involved networking with Marks & Spencer colleagues to ensure the Brands were aligned. Carolyn has over sixteen years in people management and HR and also has extensive experience in the retail and distribution sectors having previously worked for Dixons Retail and WH Smith Ltd in both retail and head office positions. Carolyn is a Chartered member of the CIPD and has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Cardiff.
