Yaotian works within the Physical Sciences team, primarily responsible for managing projects in the SHAPE domain. She is passionate about maximising the impact of academic research through technology transfer.
Yaotian has a background in urban planning and public policy. Before joining Oxford University Innovation, she conducted doctoral research in urban modelling at the University of Cambridge, served as a research assistant at the Martin Centre, and was an ESG risk management tutor at Cambridge Advance Online. Beyond academia, Yaotian has experience in both the public and private sectors in China, engaging in policy formulation, macroeconomic analysis, and market research.
