Dr Robert Easton (BSc ARCS DPhil FCGI) was the former Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development and External Affairs) which includes the Public Affairs Department, Development and Alumni Relations, and the International Strategy Office.
Robert was a 19-year veteran of the Carlyle Group as a Global Partner and performed various roles as an investment professional, including running the buyout team in the UK, serving as co-head of Carlyle Europe Technology Partners, and leading Carlyle’s Ireland focused fund.
Robert is currently a Senior Advisor and member of the Investment Committee at Oxx LP and at Melior Equity Partners. He is also an advisor to the Deep Tech team of Oxford Science Enterprises, and a Board member of Oxford University Innovation. He is a serial investor in technology driven, small and start-up businesses, supporting entrepreneurship in the UK. He is also a past Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association.
Robert has a Doctorate in organic synthesis from Oxford University and a BSc in Chemistry from Imperial College London.
