Dr Paul Gass is the Licensing and Ventures Manager for Physical Sciences at Oxford University Innovation (OUI). He holds a Physics degree from the University of Bristol and a PhD from the University of Exeter. Prior to joining OUI Paul led development projects at Sharp Corporation’s European R&D Centre, where he managed teams working on cutting-edge technologies in optics, materials, electronics, image processing, machine learning, and computer vision.
Paul specialises in the commercialisation of innovations in physics, engineering, mathematics, and computing. He supports Oxford researchers across the full technology transfer process—from IP protection and licensing to the formation of spinout companies.
