Serena joined Oxford University Innovation as an Assistant Technology Transfer Manager in February 2017, having graduated with an MEng in Engineering Science from Oxford University in 2015. Her master’s year work focussed on engineering a scaffold for directional muscle- and nerve-cell growth, working in the Tissue Engineering group at the University’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Serena then went on to work as a Bioprocess Engineer for Oxford MEStar, a University spin-out specialising in regenerative medicine, where she co-led a project designing and building an automated bioreactor system for cell expansion, and compiled in-depth market research reports for the company’s directors.
