In September 2023, Marcus became part of Oxford University Innovation (OUI) as a License Alliance Manager. In this capacity, he oversees the extensive portfolio of licensing agreements spanning both physical and life sciences. Marcus plays a pivotal role in evaluating the progress of licensed technologies, providing support to Oxford University’s spinouts, and ensuring the effective prosecution and maintenance of OUI’s licensed IP.
Marcus holds a BSc & MRes in Chemistry from the University of York and Durham University, respectively. During his BSc, Marcus received the Whinfield Medal for the highest academic performance, and published his research project in ACS Catalysis.
Prior to joining OUI, Marcus gained valuable experience through various placements in the IP sector and a period in pharmaceutical consulting.
