Sandra has a background in organic chemistry, undertaking her undergraduate studies at the University of Oviedo (Spain) and a Masters at the University of Geneva. She completed her DPhil. at the University of Oxford in 2017 working on oxidative radical cyclisations for the synthesis of natural products. She then joined Givaudan, a global fragrance and flavours company based in Switzerland, as a post-doctoral researcher for one year.
She joined OUI as an Assistant Licensing & Ventures Manager in November 2018 and was promoted to Licensing & Ventures Manager in March 2020. She particularly enjoys working on projects that address UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs). Sandra is fully proficient in French and Spanish (and is working on her German!).
