Who qualifies for our social venture support?

To qualify for our support, you currently need to either:

• be a member of staff at the University of Oxford,
• be a student at the University of Oxford,
• be a former staff member or student of the University of Oxford, or
• working directly with any of the types of people listed above (e.g., co-founder or prospective CEO), who are themselves actively engaged with OUI.

We support members of the University through two tracks:

• spinout route, where there is university intellectual property or an idea relating to a member of the University’s work, more information here: https://innovation.ox.ac.uk/university-members/commercialising-technology/starting-company/
• incubator route, for members and ex-members of the University of Oxford wanting to start or grow entrepreneur-driven ventures that are not University spinouts, more information here: https://innovation.ox.ac.uk/startupincubator/.

We are unable to support most businesses that have been formed by alumni, unless you are early stage and qualify for our incubator. Please feel free to attend public events advertised on our LinkedIn.
