Ultra-precise Fast Fourier Transformation using prism signal processing

Image from Licence Details: Ultra-precise Fast Fourier Transformation using prism signal processing

Applications: signal processing, spectral analysis, FFT, frequency, phase and amplitude measurement

The Prism FFT technique uses four windowing functions to calculate the frequency, phase and amplitude of each peak, while suppressing spectral noise. In the example, the Prism FFT calculates peak parameters with > 1000x smaller errors than the conventional FFT techniques.

Features Benefits
  • Superb accuracy of peak frequency, phase and amplitude calculations
  • Unparalleled resolution and accuracy, even at low sampling rates
  • Minimises spectral leakage
  • High dynamic range; detects low amplitude peaks
  • Peak accuracy a function of local signal-to-noise ratio
  • Robust for high-noise applications
  • Superb accuracy for low-noise applications
  • Low computational overhead
  • Suitable for real-time measurements
