We had the privilege of attending New Horizons 2026, a key UK conference for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) community.

Last weekend, the Clinical Outcomes team at Oxford University Innovation had the privilege of attending New Horizons 2026, a key UK conference for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) community.

Martina Zagaria joined the programme to connect with leading researchers and industry partners and stay up to date on the latest advances in gene therapy and emerging DMD treatments.

The event sparked valuable new conversations, from expanding awareness and adoption of the DMD-QoL and utility measure, to exploring links between wearables, imaging, and patient-reported outcome measures, and engaging with organisations including Duchenne UK, who are working to help people with DMD.

A great opportunity to learn, network, and help ensure patient-centred outcomes remain central to DMD research and therapy development. Most of all a ‘well-done’ to Emily Reuben and all staff at Duchenne UK for organising such a useful event for families to attend, learn and continue to support each other in this relentless quest for a solution to end Duchenne.
