Vanessa joined Oxford University Innovation in May 2023 as a Licence Alliance Manager to integrate the newly formed Licence Alliance Management Team. She works managing a portfolio of licence agreements and associated patents, administrating compliance of deal obligations, renegotiating existing licences, and liaising with licensees.
Prior to joining Oxford University Innovation, Vanessa worked as an assistant manager in the Tech Transfer Office of Oswaldo Cruz Foundation/Fiocruz, the leading institution of science and public health in Brazil, where she implemented a process-driven environment that resulted in portfolio management optimization, improvement of technology offer methodology, combined with managing stakeholders, and establishing internal and external partnerships.
Vanessa has a BSc in Biological Sciences from Rio de Janeiro Federal State University, Brazil, and a MsC in Public Health from the National School of Public Health/Fiocruz, Brazil.
