Oxford Cognitive Screen is now available as a cultural adaption for Australia!
31st March 2022
We are pleased to announce that the Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS) has now been culturally adapted into English for Australia.
The team responsible are situated within the Hunter Stroke Service at NSW Hunter New England Local Health District, and it could not have been possible without the help from many other individuals spanning different organisations and foundations around the globe.
The translation work adheres to strict best-practice methodologies for translation and has been normed and validated for the targeted population.
The OCS is a first-line, stroke-specific and domain-specific cognitive screening tool which can be delivered at the bedside in acute stroke. The OCS is easy to administer and score and importantly is inclusive for patients with aphasia and neglect. The OCS domains assessed are Language, Praxis, Number, Memory, Spatial and Controlled Attention.
For further information about the OCS or licensing options to use the instrument, please visit our profile page to find out more.
