15th May 2022

Dr Rhiannon Macefield will be presenting the Bluebelle Wound Healing Questionnaire at this year's Society of Tissue Viability Conference.

We are delighted to announce that Dr Rhiannon Macefield will be discussing the challenges of managing surgical wounds and how the Bluebelle Wound Healing Questionnaire (BWHQ) can directly help with remote management of surgical site infection at this year’s Society of Tissue Viability Conference.

Dr Macefield is the lead developer of the Bluebelle Wound Healing Questionnaire.

The Bluebelle WHQ is an 18 item questionnaire for the assessment of surgical site infection (SSI) in closed primary wounds. It is a single measure designed for completion by patients (using the PRO version) or healthcare professionals (using the ClinRO version) during a period of up to 30 days after discharge from hospital.

If you would like to find out more about the BWHQ or have a query around obtaining licence to use the instrument, then you can contact us via healthoutcomes@innovation.ox.ac.uk.
