OBN celebrates stars of UK life sciences

OBN has celebrated the best of UK life science at its annual awards ceremony, and five of the winners are Oxford University Innovation spin-outs.
The OBN annual awards celebrated ‘the innovators, fundraisers and dealmakers who underline the pre-eminence of the UK sector in the global marketplace’.
Oxford University Innovation would like to congratulate the winners of the 2014 awards, which include five Isis spin-outs:
Adaptimmune (which traces its roots to Oxford University Innovation spin-out Avidex) – winner of ‘Best New Biotech Development Programme Award’
Nightstar – winner of ‘Best Emerging Biotech Company’ – which raised £12m in February 2014 from the Wellcome Trust’s venture capital arm Syncona
Intelligent Ultrasound – winner of ‘Best Emerging Medtech Company’
Oxford Immunotec – winner of ‘Best Emerging Medtech Fundraiser’
Oxford Gene Technology – winner of ‘Best Medtech Dealmaker’
