Isis Innovation relocates to Buxton Court

Isis Innovation, the University of Oxford’s technology commercialisation and consulting company, is relocating to Buxton Court in Oxford’s Botley Road.
From 3rd August 2015 the company’s main Oxford office will move to Buxton Court, 3 West Way, Oxford OX2 0SZ. This is a very exciting development as the new offices provide improved space for meeting with businesses, supporting the formation of new companies and continuing to work closely in support of Oxford University researchers. The new office is a similar distance from the city centre as the old office in Summertown.
Isis works with researchers and departments across the University to protect and patent new intellectual property, license technologies and progress commercial ideas and spinout companies. Our Oxford University Consulting group provides access to academic expertise on a consulting basis.
Isis was named ‘Technology Transfer Unit of the Year 2014’ by Global University Venturing, and earlier this year its Isis Enterprise division won a Queens Award for International Trade.
Oxford University Innovation CEO Tom Hockaday said: “Over the past 10 years Isis has grown from a staff of under 30, to over 100, supporting University of Oxford researchers and entrepreneurs and working with business and governments around the world. We’re looking forward to continuing this mission from larger, improved offices. Our staff are also available at Isis hotdesks in departments around the University to discuss new intellectual property and business ideas.”
The Isis Software Incubator, which has taken in 40 software ventures in partnership with students, staff and alumni of University of Oxford, will also now be based at the Buxton Court offices.
Due to relocation Oxford University Innovation direct dial numbers may be unobtainable on Friday 31st July, however the main office number +44 (0) 1865 280830 will be operational. All staff e-mails and phone numbers remain unchanged.
The company’s contact details in Hong Kong, Spain, Japan and Australia remain unchanged.
