Oxford University Innovation has awarded two three-month fellowships to MBAs graduating from the University’s Saïd Business School this summer.

The (Saïd Business School) SBS Fellowships are awarded annually on a competitive basis, with applicants required to submit a 1,000 word statement explaining their personal interest in University technology transfer and innovation management. Each Fellowship provides the recipient with £6,000 over the three months they spend at Isis.

SBS Fellowships 2010 Announced

This year’s SBS Fellowships were awarded to Nicholas Meadows and Evan Castiglia from a strong field of applicants.  Nick has a PhD in Molecular Sciences from Queensland Australia and a career in research and technology transfer.  Evan is from the US, with a degree in accountancy and business management, and a career in consulting.

This is the fourth year that Oxford University Innovation and the Saïd Business School have partnered to run the Isis SBS Fellowship programme.  The Fellowships represent one of the many links between the School and Isis.  Isis employees have taken the Executive MBA at SBS; and Isis currently employs three full-time MBA graduates in Oxford and Hong Kong.

Tom Hockaday, managing director of Isis, said: “The SBS Fellowship programme goes from strength to strength and we are really looking forward to Evan and Nick spending time in Isis.  They have strong skills and experience complementary to the development of Isis business activities and technology portfolio.  We hope they will gain insights into technology transfer and innovation management and the role Isis plays in the local and international technology networks.”
