New Investment Opportunities

Members of the Isis Angels Network (IAN) held a joint event in October with the Oxford Investment Opportunity Network to showcase exciting new business opportunities for early stage investors. Presentations were made by four groups with whom Isis is working– OxEMA, Deontics, Oxford Photovoltaics Ltd and OxTex.

Presenters were delighted with the interest shown in their technologies by more than 80 attendees. Feedback was extremely positive – “an excellent joint meeting where the entire Oxford investor community gather together around top notch investment propositions”, and “an amazing event just at the interface between the academic and the business world, so far apart in many cases”.

Tom Hockaday, Managing Director of Oxford University Innovation Ltd., commented, “These network meetings are a tremendous opportunity for introducing investor-ready technologies to investors with an interest in creating new businesses.
