Iraida joined Oxford University Innovation in June 2018 as an Assistant Licensing & Ventures Manager (ALVM) and since November 2019 she is working within the digital health team as a Licensing & Ventures Manager (LVM). As an LVM, Iraida provides support across the technology transfer process, through initial assessment of projects, to all aspects of IP protection and management. This includes supporting licensing technologies to industry, supporting translational funding applications and working together with academics willing to start their own company.
Iraida has an MSc degree in Neuroscience and a Masters in Business Administration applied to biotechnology-based companies, from the University of Barcelona. Iraida’s master thesis dealt with the analysis of cerebral proteins related to the cognitive symptomatology of schizophrenia, and developing a business plan, including market insights, NPV valuation and regulatory development. Iraida then went on to an internship as an Investment Analyst within the life sciences team at Caixa Capital Risc, an early-stage VC firm based in Barcelona. Iraida offers support on a range of projects focused on medtech, e-health and diagnostics, working across the MPLS and Medical Sciences divisions.
